Mr. Mümtaz was born and raised in Mersin,
Turkey, a city right on Mediterranean Sea, and came to United
States in 1996 for his University Education. After Attending
Central Missouri State University (3 months - "Thank God!"), State
University of New York – New Paltz (one year), and Florida
Atlantic University he received his Bachelors in Science Degree in
Computer Information Systems. He was hired by an Internet-based
company as Chief Information Officer as an intern while he was in FAU. He worked 2 years in a conglomerate
communication company in Miami as
network administrator, programmer, and web developer before he
decided to follow his true passion in education.
Mr. Mümtaz accepted the Business Technology
Teacher position in PBHS in 2003 and has taught 4 levels of
Programming and 4 levels of Web Design classes. He was the Girls
Basketball JV Head Coach, and Girls Basketball varsity assistant Coach in 03-04
Season and has been the Boys Tennis Coach since 04-05 Season. He
has sponsored Strategic Games, and Anime Clubs in his first 3
years of teaching and still the proud
sponsor of Programming Club where his team has won 3rd place in 2005 and 2nd place in 2007. In addition, Mr. Mümtaz
has been the webmaster of the PBHS’s web site ever since he was
hired.
In his free time, Mr. Mümtaz likes to play tennis, golf, and
chess. He also likes to fish and snorkel, and tries to follow
professional sports as much as he can.

Baseball – Detroit Tigers (Thanks to
Mr. Frey. I used to be Yankees fan but I have been asked to hate them by
Mr. Weigel.)
Football – Miami Dolphins (Don’t know
much about it but supporting the local team)
Basketball – Miami Heat (Used to be
Chicago Bulls when Michael Jordan was playing)
Soccer – Fenerbahçe (06 -07 Turkish
Super League Champions!!!)
Tennis – Andy Roddick, Maria
Sharapova's for singles and Brian Brothers for doubles
