Art Directors use their creative vision to develop  materials for magazines or advertising agencies.  They are artists and writers with strong abilities in communication. They have inventive minds and are able to connect ideas towards a desired goal. It is the Art Director's ability to present a unified artistic concept that makes an ad campaign or magazine layout successful. They need to be good at combining their own ideas and visions with that of many artists and writers. They must be able to supervise others and bring their individual work together into a whole.  It is the Art Director that is responsible for the final product to be presented.

For this project, the Art Director will direct all activity towards the final product; a presentation and workshop. It is the Art Director's responsibility to see that Time Lines are followed and all participants are working successfully towards the desired goal.  He/she will take the ideas of the group and make sure that they all fit together. When a decision about a detail of the project cannot be agreed upon by the group, it is the Art Director who will make the final decision. The Art Director will help each group member as needed and will fill in for any member who is absent. The Art Director will correspond with the art teacher on the groups progress.
