VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

There are many opportunities to volunteer your time at school events. Whatever you choose to do, please take five minutes to fill out the Broward County Schools Volunteer Application form. All volunteers must complete the 2010-2011 Broward County School Board prior to participating in any PTSA activities.

Go to www.browardschools.com, click "Volunteers," click "Online Application" and complete the application. It really only takes five minutes and insures that our kids are in a safe and secure environment.

Approval should be available within five days of submission at the school which you specified on the application. Check in at the PBHS Front Desk to receive your ID badge.

Volunteer Hours are recorded in a logbook in the office and will be turned into Mr. Berquist in Guidance quarterly. The data is incorporated into our schools statistics to determine our eligibility for awards. Please take the time to fill out these logs.

Different events scheduled throughout the year need volunteers of all kinds:

Valentines Day Fund Raiser
We will need volunteers for the week prior to Valentine's Day to pre-sell carnations during lunch in the Courtyard.

Spring Commemorative Brick Installation Ceremony
Promote the sale of bricks and plan the reception that follows the installation of the bricks.

Freshman Registration
Be present to help answer questions from the incoming freshmen and staff the PTSA booth.

May Teacher Appreciation Week
Creative ideas and donations needed to express our thanks to our hardworking faculty and staff.

Senior Breakfast
Volunteers needed to cook and serve our graduating class their farewell pancake breakfast. Donations of food items are needed.

June End of Year Teacher/ Staff Event
Donations of food and raffle items are needed for the end of the year thank you.
