Numerous sports are available to challenge and provide an
outlet for interested students. Joining a sport is a terrific way to
meet new friends and enhance
your high school years. In order for a student to be eligible to participate
in an extracurricular activity or athletics, they:
NCAA Eligibility: All prospective student-athletes
who want to play in NCAA Division I or II intercollegiate athletics must
meet
the NCAA Eligibility test score, grade point average, and core course
requirements.
Open
entry/open exit
classes do not count. Be sure to ask your coach and
guidance counselor about these requirements or contact the NCAA Clearinghouse.
To try out for any sport, students need to present their certified birth
certificate, a copy of their insurance card, parent
permission
form, physical form, a signed copy of the sportsmanship policy,
U 18 Medical
Release
and
Consent For Treatment.
You
must fill out and turn in the following forms with your parent's and physician's
signature:
