PBHS Student Policies

2011-2012 Tardy Policy

All students are required to be in school on time. Consequences for being tardy to school no matter if the tardy is considered excused or un-excused are as followed:

• First or Second Offense- Warning
• Third Offense- Warning letter
• Fourth Offense- Final Warning
• Fifth Offense- Mandatory Friday Detention
• Sixth and Seventh Offense- Warning
• Eighth Offense- Parent Conference and Friday Detention
• Ninth Offense- Final Warning
• Tenth Offense and Beyond- External Suspension
  

2011-2012 Tardy and Early Release Policy

All students are required to be properly signed in and out before entering or leaving campus during school operating hours. In order to maintain high academic standards students will be allowed to sign out only with parent permission, however the provisions of the 2010-2011 attendance policy will supersede late sign-ins and/or early sign-outs in the accumulation of student absences.

2011-2012 I.D. Badge Policy

Students do not have to wear their ID badge around their neck, however, they MUST have their ID badge on them at all times and be able to show it upon request. Consequences for not following this policy:

• First Offense- Wednesday Detention
• Second Offense- Friday Detention
• Third Offense- Parent Conference with Detention
• Fourth Offense and Beyond - External Suspension

2011-2012 Magnet Policy
A student must maintain a 2.5 weighted grade point average (GPA) to remain in Pompano Beach High School. If the weighted GPA drops below 2.5, students will be placed on probation. Students not meeting the required 2.5 weighted GPA will be exited and must attend their assigned home school.
