Requirements for the Florida High School diploma are contained within the
Magnet
Diploma. The Magnet Diploma maintains a level of rigor recommended by the
Florida
College / University system.
Grade Point Average
Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA (unweighted) to remain in Pompano Beach High
School.
Testing Requirements
As an additional requirement for a high school diploma, students must pass
the Florida Comprehensive
Assessment Test (FCAT) in both Reading and Math.
Service Hour Requirements
- 40 hours for graduation
- 75 hours for the Florida Academic Scholars Award
- 250 hours for the Silver Cord
