Girls' Golf

The Pompano High School golf team's primary concern is to have the girls on the team learn the skills involved in playing golf, which they can enjoy for the rest of their life. Experience is not a necessity in joining the team, but it’s a plus because we do compete against other teams in the county each season in stroke play competition. Specific areas are covered including putting, chipping, sand shots, and course management. All team members get to play practice rounds. Practices are after school at the Pompano Beach City Golf Course. We are flexible in our practice because we know our students are concerned about their academics and some are participating in other sports. This is also the site of our home matches.

Our goal is to have the girls improve their game, enjoy themselves and the company of their teammates, and to play to their potential in their rounds. We are looking forward to next year with a young team returning.
